SERVO-INDUSTRIAL-VOLTAGE-STABILIZER
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
Industrial servo voltage stabilizers are high-precision power conditioning units designed for heavy-duty applications. Unlike standard stabilizers that use relays to switch taps (creating “steps” in voltage), a servo stabilizer uses a motorized arm to provide continuous, stepless correction with an accuracy of up to ±1%.
Below is a detailed technical specification for a Three-Phase Industrial Servo Stabilizer (Standard & Wide Range).
1. Electrical Performance
Industrial units are designed to handle high inrush currents and continuous 24/7 duty cycles.
| Parameter | Specification |
| Capacity | 10 kVA to 5000 kVA |
| Input Voltage Range | Standard: 340V – 480V |
| Output Voltage | 415V AC (Adjustable between 380V – 415V) |
| Output Regulation | ±1% (Precision control) |
| Rated Frequency | 47 Hz – 53 Hz (50 Hz ± 5%) |
| Efficiency | > 98% at full load |
| Response Time | < 10 milliseconds (Instantaneous) |
| Correction Rate | 20V to 60V per second |
| Waveform Distortion | Nil (Maintains pure sine wave) |
| Duty Cycle | 100% Continuous |
2. Key Internal Components
- Buck-Boost Transformer: Connected in series with the line to “add” or “subtract” voltage.
- Variable Auto-Transformer (Variac): A toroidal or columnar transformer that supplies variable voltage to the Buck-Boost primary.
- High Torque Servo Motor: A reversible AC or DC motor that drives the carbon brushes on the Variac.
- Microcontroller/DSP Control: The digital “brain” that senses output deviations and commands the motor.Â
3. Protection & Safety Features
- High/Low Voltage Cut-off: Automatically disconnects the load if voltage exceeds or falls below safe thresholds (e.g., >460V or <300V).
- Overload & Short Circuit: Protected via MCCB (Molded Case Circuit Breakers) or ACB (Air Circuit Breakers) for higher ratings.
- Phase Failure & Reversal: Sensors prevent the motor from running in reverse or burning out if a phase is lost.
- Surge & Spike Suppression: Integrated SPDs (Surge Protection Devices) protect against lightning or switching transients.
- Single Phasing Preventer: Shuts down the unit if any of the three phases fail to prevent motor heating in the load.
- Manual Bypass: A built-in switch to route power directly from the grid during maintenance.
